Meet Dr. Cartwright

Dr. Rachel Cartwright is the owner of Medical Legal Concepts, LLC, a consulting firm for medical and legal professionals. As an advanced practice registered nurse and a licensed healthcare risk manager with over 37 years of clinical, healthcare consulting, and regulatory compliance experience, she frequently provides expert witness testimony in civil court regarding nursing standard of care. Rachel has taught more than 100,000 healthcare professionals and has presented over 1,500 times on patient safety issues and legal aspects of documentation for healthcare providers. She enjoys turning seemingly boring topics into fun conversations in a variety of venues. Rachel has her PhD in Public Policy and Public Administration with a focus on law and public policy. She is a published author and writes for peer reviewed journals and textbooks. She is the President of the Florida Speakers Association.
